A prayed-for nation
Today I had a retreat with six leaders/facilitators in the Dutch prayer movement. We asked God to show us his higher plan, to help the body of intercessors mature and develop a relational network with a united vision/calling for the nation. Three streams are coming together: the prophetic prayer initiatives, the EA-related prayer organisations and the church-based prayer networks.
Because we can learn from the experience in other nations, I had asked Jane Holloway, the prayer and evangelism secretary of the British Evangelical Alliance, and Ueli Haldemann, who leads the Swiss national prayer initiative, for their input. Ueli told me that they have now covered the whole nation in prayer. All 2798 villages (ZIP codes) have been adopted by intercessors. Last June they rented a stadium where 40,000 Christians from all over the nation gathered, including the intercessors of the 2798 villages, and representatives of the 117 nationalities living in Switzerland. And guess what - they all brought their flags and formed a cross in the centre of the stadium.
The Netherlands are not there yet, but I love to hear about these things breaking through in Europe.

Please send your prayer request we would like to circulate worldwide.
God bless you,
Sincerely,
Gordon
